Tarmac Driveways
Fast, affordable, and built to last
About Tarmac Driveways
Tarmac (asphalt) is the UK's most widely used road surface for a reason — it's strong, flexible, quick to install, and excellent value for money. A properly laid tarmac driveway on a compacted sub-base will give decades of service with very little upkeep.
We lay tarmac in two courses: a binder course for strength and a smooth finish course on top. We can also apply a decorative chip dressing in a range of colours to give your driveway a unique look at a fraction of the cost of alternatives. Edges are finished with block paving or concrete kerbs for a neat, defined border.
Key Benefits
- Cost-effective — especially for larger areas
- Quick installation — usually complete in 1–2 days
- Very durable with proper sub-base preparation

Frequently Asked Questions
How soon can I use a new tarmac driveway?
You can walk on it after a few hours. We recommend waiting 24–48 hours before driving on it.
Can tarmac be any colour?
Standard tarmac is black/dark grey. We offer coloured chip dressings in red, buff, and other shades.

Yes — tarmac is excellent on slopes as it bonds to the sub-base. We ensure proper drainage is incorporated.
