Resin Bound Driveways
The premium, permeable, modern choice
About Resin Bound Driveways
Resin bound surfacing involves mixing natural aggregate with a UV-stable clear resin and trowelling it to a smooth, even finish. The result is a beautiful, durable surface that is fully permeable — water drains straight through, making it SuDS-compliant and eliminating puddles.
We use UV-stable polyurethane resin which will not yellow or fade in sunlight. The choice of aggregate colours is vast — from natural stone shades through to vibrant contemporary mixes. Resin bound can often be applied over existing concrete or tarmac, reducing excavation costs.

Our Process
Survey & Quote
We assess the existing surface and drainage requirements.

Porous Macadam
A porous base course is laid where needed.

The mix is trowelled to a smooth, even surface.

The surface cures in 6–8 hours, ready to use next day.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between resin bound and resin bonded?
Resin bound mixes aggregate into resin before laying — it's smooth and permeable. Resin bonded sticks loose stone to a surface — it's not permeable. We always use resin bound.
Will resin bound crack?
A resin bound surface on a stable, flexible base is very crack-resistant. Correct base preparation is key.
How long does resin bound last?
With proper installation and occasional cleaning, a resin bound driveway should last 15–25 years.
