A well-built garden wall adds structure, privacy, and character to any property. We build garden boundary walls, retaining walls, porch pillars, planters, and decorative features in a variety of materials to suit your home and budget.
Common materials include brick to match existing brickwork, decorative screen block, natural stone walling, and rendered block. All walls are built on adequate concrete strip foundations to prevent movement and cracking. Retaining walls are designed to cope with the soil load behind them, with weep holes for drainage where required. We also carry out repairs to existing walls including repointing, rebuilding collapsed sections, and remedying foundations.

Concrete strip foundations are dug and poured.
Blockwork
Foundation courses of concrete block are laid.
Brickwork
Facing brick or stonework is laid to height.
Capping
Coping stones or brick-on-edge capping are fixed.
Pointing
Joints are finished and the wall is cleaned down.

How high can you build a garden wall?
We can build walls up to 2m without planning permission in most situations. Higher walls require planning approval.
Can you repair an existing wall rather than rebuild?
Yes — depending on the condition, repair and repointing is often the most cost-effective solution. We will advise after inspection.
